student-friendly places I have ever visited! On this blog I will share with you some of the best vegetarian restaurants and cafés for eating out, chilling after school or maybe just enjoying a delicious and healthy meal with a great atmosphere to take pictures and share with your friends. All places are within a near bike distance and accompanied with beautiful views of the city on your way there. Gent is a great city for vegetarians and veggie lovers, plus you can find numerous local and delicious ingredients. If you are looking for a local vegetarian experience, Lokaal is the place to go. There you can feast your heart's content of vegetables and other natural treats. They adapt the ingredients weekly and create seasonal menus. You will enjoy your 100% vegan and home made meal in a beautiful and cozy surrounding with the best music with the sound only vinyls can offer. This restaurant called Wasbar is the perfect place for that, as I discovered last week. On the first floor, they integrated the washing machines in their wooden design creating a studently atmosphere. Especially for lunch, it is the perfect place to be because they offer sandwiches, bagels, salads and bagel-burgers. While using the washing machine, you can enjoy a delicious food nicely arranged and amazing for your Instagram or Pinterest there – so check it out!

Garden of eating
As the summer will come soon, Tuin van Eten is a great spot for eating outside. But also, the interior design is beautiful and charming. If you adore Art Noveau like me, you will instantly love the atmosphere there. Nice fact as well: Tuin van Eten means “Garden of eating” in English. Since the botanical garden is very close to the restaurant/brasserie, you can also have a walk through this afterwards. The food is very suitable for students hence it is simple but incredibly tasty.
