1. Julie’s House

📍Kraanlei 13, 9000 Ghent

The first cafe we recommend is Julie's house. It's the right place to enjoy a hot chocolate and wind down in the cozy setting.

You can choose between different types of chocolate. If you prefer a lactose free cup of hot chocolate there's a variety of milk such as soy, almond or oat milk.

There are also several toppings that you can put on your drink such as marshmallows or caramel syrup. We highly recommend the dark chocolate with a chocolate cupcake!

Everyone in Ghent knows Julie's house. When you enter you immediately feel the warmth and the cozy atmosphere. It is the ideal place to relax. You can also visit them for breakfast, brunch or afternoon tea.

Julie's house is located in the center of Ghent which is great whenever you visit the historic parts of the city.

3. In Choc

📍Sint-Veerleplein 13, 9000 Ghent

Another one of our favorite cafes is In Choc. We were quite literally in shock when our order came along!

In Choc offers different variations of chocolate milk. there are flavors such as Oreo, caramel or hazelnut. We recommend the white chocolate with raspberries! :)

If you're looking to eat something, In Choc offers waffles, pancakes and homemade cakes. Everyday is different at In Choc since they have a concept called cake of the day. Seems to us a justifiable reason to try their cake everyday!

The drinks are a feast to the eyes as well. With lots of whipped cream and different edible decorations you can taste it through your screen.
