Mayana is THE ultimate place for chocolate lovers in the heart of Ghent 😋 
When you walk into Mayana, you are immediately immersed in a very cozy place with plenty of seating. They also have a large terrace for sunny days☀️. The warm atmosphere and friendly staff will immediately put you at ease 🌸. It is therefore the ideal place to escape for a while and enjoy all kinds of sweet treats.
Everything in Mayana revolves around chocolate 🍫. Think: delicious hot chocolate, milkshakes, brownies, cookies, American pancakes, and so much more. They also serve a variety of coffees☕.
Mayana also offers seasonal treats. In the fall, you can enjoy chocolate chip cookies with cinnamon, and in summer, you can't get enough of the yummy red velvet cookies. Be sure to check out their website if you want to know what specialties they currently have!

Our final cookie came from a homey coffee bar called Madam Bakster. This guilt-free bakery is a must-visit for every green-hearted person with a sweet tooth! 💚
This cute café, just outside the center of Ghent, places sustainability as its number one priority. Madam Bakster is an artisanal bakery that makes delicious desserts that are completely vegan 🌱. Not only that, but most of their sweet treats are also allergy-friendly and use as little natural sugar as possible.
Besides their tasty cookies, Madam Bakster also sells a variety of cakes, all perfect to enjoy with a nice cup of coffee ☕.
A fun fact that makes Madam Bakster such a unique place in our beautiful city is that they make all their plant-based milks themselves 🥛. These are made from almonds, hazelnuts, or even peas! How cool is that? 😍
