5. Leonidas

There are five wonderful Leonidas shops sprinkled throughout Ghent! The one our team visited is located in Vrijdagmarkt. This location, in particular, was small, but sweet! There is some outdoor seating available with a lovely view of the square. Inside, there is also hot chocolate available on requestβ˜•οΈ. If you are interested, you can also take a look at the Top 5 ranked hot chocolate spots! Due to this being a chain shop, a certain standard must be upheld in each location. This way you can always guarantee the utmost quality of chocolate and customer service from location to location. With Autumn in full swing, various fall-themed items are also available!

Chocolatier Deduytschaever is if innovation and creativity were mixed and put into chocolate form. Every pre-made item is packaged in its own unique packagingπŸ“¦, giving each item an original look. The minimalistic storefront gives you a clean feeling and lets you know your chocolate is produced in a sanitary and professional environment. Although there are fewer options behind the counter to curate your chocolate mix, they make up for it in the mouth-watering flavor packed into each piece.

With Neuhaus being the inventor of the praline, you are assured top quality and taste with every chocolate you get. There are three beautiful Neuhaus shops located throughout Ghent. Although this is a chain shop, you are guaranteed a consistent amazing taste no matter which shop you visit. Additionally, if you are a big Christmas lover πŸŽ„, this is the shop for you. More than half the shop is filled with holiday items. Everything from advent calendars to gift boxes, there is chocolate for every occasion. The workers are also extremely helpful, giving lots of information about each chocolate you can select and put in your hand-crafted mix. There is a reason this shop is famous worldwide.

Last but not least we visited the Van Boudhede Chocolatier. This shop, without a doubt, is the best of the best. They have several awards πŸ†. Upon walking into the shop, you are greeted with astonishing craftsmanship and sheer talent presented by intricate chocolate statues on display. Directly below you is where the chocolates are produced. You can conveniently see how the melted chocolate is mixed and poured into the molds to create these delectable sweets. The shop also stays updated on online trends, with the creation of its own Dubai Chocolate Bar. Additionally, there are several seasonal items for autumn, such as marzipan pumpkins and chocolate ganache skulls. When selecting your chocolate mix the customer service is amazingly over the topπŸ”. The workers are more than happy to help and give suggestions to you on which chocolates are must-tries from the shop.
