When we walked into Cozette , the first thing we noticed was how calm and welcoming it felt. The mix of green accents, wooden details and large windows overlooking the garden immediately set the tone for a relaxed brunch. The natural light pouring in made the whole space feel open and cozy at the same time . This is the kind of place where you want to take a seat and stay a while. 🌿🌞
The staff welcomed us with a smile and created an unhurried atmosphere. We never felt rushed, whether we wanted to linger over coffee or just stop by for a quick bite.
What stood out most at Cozette was the combination of quality and price. It’s a spot where students or anyone on a budget can enjoy a meal that feels special without overspending. The menu is straightforward but thoughtful: fresh ingredients, seasonal fruits, and dishes that taste as good as they look. Portions are well-sized, enough to feel satisfied but not overfull, and the flavors are balanced and refreshing.
Our brunch included both sweet and savory options, We ordered fluffy pancakes and lighter bites paired with well-prepared coffee. The drinks menu surprised us with more variety than expected, ranging from classic coffees to soft drinks and even cocktails for those who want to make brunch feel like a little celebration. 🥐🍹
Cozette might not have the largest menu in town, but every dish feels considered and that’s what makes it memorable. It’s the kind of place where you go for comfort, not extravagance, and that’s exactly why we’d go back. But for those who feel like experimenting with smaller portions and mixing flavors should definitely take a look at Gust, it’s a whole different kind of treat. ✨

When we walked into Alice in Ghent we couldn’t help but smile. The entire interior is drenched in soft shades of pink, the walls, the chairs, even the little details, which instantly gave us the feeling of stepping into a fairytale. It had that timeless charm of an English high tea, set right in the heart of Ghent. Think Bridgerton, meeting Ghent... Before we even sat down, we found ourselves saying, “This is definitely one for the Instagram feed .” 💗
The staff welcomed us warmly, dressed in matching pink outfits that made the whole concept come to life. They guided us to a big round table. Everything was served neatly and with care, so that even something as simple as a pistolet with cheese or jam felt fancy. By the time the table was completely covered, it almost felt like we were having breakfast at home, just with a touch more elegance and a lot more pink. 🥐☕
For our meal, we went for a classic Flemish breakfast: fresh, warm pistolets with toppings, accompanied by coffee. What struck us most was how well-prepared and beautifully presented everything was. Alice proves that you don’t need a lavish brunch spread to enjoy something memorable. The simplicity of a traditional breakfast is more than enough when it’s done with this much attention to detail.
Of course, for those who prefer a bigger start to the day, Alice also offers generous breakfast packages at a great price-quality ratio. Take a look at their website, that gives a clear overview of all the options, so you can plan ahead depending on whether you’re in the mood for something light or something more indulgent. Do you prefer a very special breakfast with an other great concept? Than you have to look for Luv L’oeuf.
What makes Alice stand out among other breakfast spots in the city is how it combines elegance with accessibility. The ambiance is cheerful yet calm, the service is warm, and the pink décor gives it a joyful twist that’s hard to find elsewhere. For updates, photos, and daily inspiration, you can follow their Facebook page, it gives you a taste of the experience before you even step inside. 🌸

When we visited Oats Day Long, we immediately felt how the space is designed for life’s busy rhythm. The calming interior with its natural touches invites you to pause in between studying, working, or rushing from one task to another. It’s not about flashy aesthetics, but about creating a moment to recharge with food that truly fuels you. 🌿☕ Scrolling through their Instagram beforehand already gave us that same impression: wholesome dishes made for those everyday breaks.
👉 Take a look at their Instagram here.
We each chose different dishes, a bagel, a toast and pancakes and decided to share an açaí bowl as well. It’s one of their most popular picks and rightly so: vibrant, fresh and packed with flavor. Sharing it added a fun, communal touch to our breakfast. By the time everything arrived, our small round table was filled to the brim. While the tables are cute and perfect for a solo study session or a quick meal with a friend, we noticed that sitting with four wasn’t the most comfortable for lingering too long.
The service matched the vibe: friendly, efficient, and everything served neatly and with care.
What stood out most to us is how Oats Day Long focuses on everyday nourishment. Oats, peanut butter, and fresh ingredients take center stage, and every dish feels both comforting and energizing. Whether you’re in the mood for something fruity, savory, or on the go, the variety makes it easy to find your match. Browsing through their website later, we noticed how well the menu reflects that mission: simple, balanced, and accessible.
👉 Check out Oats day long's menu on their website.
For us, Oats feels like the kind of place you return to on weekdays rather than reserving it for special occasions like you might prefer to do in Alice in Ghent. It’s affordable, reliable, and perfectly suited to the rhythm of daily life. If you want to keep up with what’s new, from seasonal bowls to cozy specials, their Facebook page is a great way to stay connected, though honestly, nothing beats dropping by in person and treating yourself to that famous açaí bowl. 💛

When we stepped into Gust, we were immediately struck by the warm, inviting atmosphere. It almost felt like a perfect little oasis in the city. 🌿
During our visit, there was only one staff member serving, which meant a bit of a wait for our orders. But her dedication was clear. 🕒💛
For brunch, we all had eggs and pancakes. The eggs were well-prepared and the pancakes were fluffy. Each dish was beautifully presented, which made it as much a treat for the eyes as for the taste buds. The freshly squeezed orange juice was a highlight because it was refreshing and a perfect complement to the meal. 🍳🥞✨
One thing we loved about Gust is the mix & match option on their menu, which allowed us to try multiple dishes without over-ordering. While portions are smaller compared to other brunch spots, it’s ideal for an everyday stop rather than something more fancy like Luv L’oeuf, which offers heartier portions and a more once in a while treat.
The ambiance really enhances the experience: soft lighting, calming music, and well-spaced tables create a space where you can enjoy a peacefull brunch with friends, without it feeling too crowded.
If you want to see their menu, specials, or updates, check out their website or follow them on Instagram and Facebook. Their offerings from fluffy pancakes to hearty avocado toast or indulgent granola bowls ensure there’s something for every craving. Pair your meal with a smooth coffee, refreshing juice, or a sparkling mimosa to make the experience even more special. 🍹☕
